If you have any questions or queries about the role/positions of committee members or would like to put your name forward, please contact Noel O’Rourke or any committee member as soon as possible.
The following Officers will be elected on the day:-
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, Events Officer, 2 Representatives from Night Time Mature Students, 2 Committee Members.
Thanks from the Access Office
Emer Sheerin and Ann Mooney both attended the Mature Student Society Meeting today the 29th of April to express their gratitude to the society for all the help we provide to the access office. They are very appreciative of students who volunteer to do peer mentoring, attend orientation days and those who allowed students from VTOS to shadow them etc. They look forward to working with us in the future and hope to form a panel of volunteers who would be willing to help out at various times. If you would like to be a volunteer watch out for posters etc in Mature Students Coffee Room.
Mature Students Fundraising – Please lend your support
Sandra Curran will be hosting a coffee morning in the Mature Students Coffee room on the morning of the 6th of May in aid of Development perspectives in Tanzania and she would be delighted with any support on the day. So why not come along and have a chat and coffee and most importantly make a little donation to a very worthy cause.
Also Brendan Lambe will be working next year with Maynooth Missionaries Overseas on an Education Programme and will be leaving a donation box and some tickets for a raffle in the Mature Students Room up to the end of term.
Jackie Conlan will be taking part in the Women’s Mini Marathon in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation and would appreciate your support. You can sponsor Jackie on http://www.mycharity.ie/event/jackie_conlans_event/ or by giving her a donation.
Sandra, Brendan and Jackie would be very appreciative of any support from their fellow students! So go on every cent counts!
